The Two Roads Lesson

Jesus taught about two roads. He said, "...Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it...narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it."

We are all born into this world with a human sinful nature. No one has to teach us to do wrong, we just do it naturally. God's word says in Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." All people are like this. We lie, cheat, steal, want our own way, fight and much more. When we choose to do wrong, our sin separates us from God. Then we are going down the broad road that will end in an awful place of punishment called Hell. Satan tricks people to make them think his way is fun. You can do whatever you want. The Bible says in Proverbs, there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is death.

God made a way for all people to get off Satan's road and get on His road. He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. He took our punishment when He died on the cross. Jesus shed His precious sinless blood to pay for all the wrongs we have ever done. He died, but after three days He rose to life again. Now Jesus lives in heaven. He wants to know you. He wants to give you life that will never end.
Which road are you on? There is only one way to get of the broad road of destruction onto the narrow road of life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me."

Now you have to make a choice to stop living for yourself and live for God. When you believe in Jesus and ask Him to forgive your sins, He will forgive all the wrong things you have ever done. He will come into your life and lead you in a new way. He will give you everlasting life with Him in Heaven.
